Craig Ruppert

Executive Chairman of the Board

As the company’s founder, Craig has been instrumental in developing the company’s mission, culture, and values. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board for Ruppert Landscape and also serves on the boards of Sandy Spring Bank and The Wills Group. He is an active leader in numerous trade and charitable organizations including the Montgomery County Farmers Club, 2030 Group, Easter Seals Greater Washington-Baltimore Region, Food for the Poor, and The Community Foundation of Montgomery County. His experience has allowed him to bring innovative ideas and management approaches to Ruppert Landscape. Craig’s current responsibilities include strategic planning, financial management, and personnel development.

Phil Key

Chief Executive Officer

As the company’s chief executive, Phil’s primary focus is to make sure that the company’s visions and values are integrated into its daily operation. He does this by working closely with the management team on its planning, personnel development, and systems control processes. Phil has been working for the Ruppert organization for over 24 years and has over 30 years in the industry. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business from Western Maryland (now McDaniel) College and is a graduate of Harvard Business School’s Owner/President Management (OPM) program.

Bob Jones

President, Landscape Construction Division

Bob oversees the landscape construction division of the company. His responsibilities include planning and budgeting, new branch development, personnel development, quality control and customer relations. He has been with Ruppert for 26 years, has almost 40 years of industry experience, and is a Certified Professional Horticulturist. He is a graduate of Harvard Business School’s Key Executive Program and served as chairman of Associated Builders and Contractors of Metro Washington.

Fred Key

COO, Landscape Management Division

As a chief operating officer in our landscape management division, Fred oversees the Virginia, North Carolina, and Atlanta regions, working closely with the region managers to influence operational decisions to help better serve our customers and team members. In addition, he works with the company’s business development team to help support division-wide sales efforts. He has been with Ruppert for 21 years and has over 30 years of industry experience. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Salisbury State University, is a Certified Landscape Professional, and is a graduate of Harvard Business School’s Owner/President Management (OPM) program.

Eric Scheinerman

Chief Financial Officer

As CFO, Eric is be responsible for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial related activities of the company. As a member of the executive committee, Eric works with the senior leadership team to execute the company’s strategic imperatives, drive continuous improvement, enhance financial and operating performance and play an important role in all aspects of M&A. He has over 30 years of experience spanning the technology, life sciences, manufacturing and travel industries with a proven track record of growing complex enterprises of all sizes and developing high-performance teams. He holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
