Laytonsville, MD – Ruppert Landscape is pleased to announce the promotion of Rob Groves to the position of branch manager in our northern Richmond landscape management branch.
Groves has over 15 years of green industry experience and holds a degree in ornamental horticulture from Pennsylvania College of Technology. He has been with the company for over 10 years, having begun his career with Ruppert as an enhancement field manager in our Gainesville, VA landscape management branch. Within a year, he was promoted to enhancement manager, and after serving in that role for six years, he took a position as area manager, thus building upon his skills and knowledge of the business. As a result of Rob’s success in these positions, he was accepted into Ruppert’s Associate Branch Manager leadership development program in 2016. Driven by our dedication to develop our employees and promote from within, this program provides an opportunity for mid-level managers to learn, gain experience, and grow as leaders.
“Rob is a graduate of the most recent class of Associate Branch Managers, where he received training and development in the Gainesville landscape management branch under the strong guidance of branch manager, Collins Fitts,” said region manager, Kevin Hazelgrove. “Rob’s time there has prepared him well to become a branch manager, and his coaching style will be a great fit with the experienced Richmond team.”
As branch manager, he will be responsible for the overall welfare of the northern Richmond branch, including the safety and development of his team, strategic planning and budgeting, training, and day-to-day operations. He currently resides in Culpepper, VA with his wife, Lindsey, their son, Jake, and daughter, Amelia Caroline, with plans to relocate to the Richmond area in the coming months.
