Ruppert Landscape recently appointed Julie A. Smith, Chief Administrative Officer of The Bozzuto Group, to join the company’s Board of Directors. This appointment expands the size of the board to six members.
“Julie is an executive with a long track record of success and extensive experience in multi-family property management, one of our largest market segments, which will help our company continue to grow and deliver meaningful results for our clients and employees,” said Phil Key, President of Ruppert Landscape. “She comes from an organization with similar values to Ruppert including a focus on customers, employee empowerment and giving back to the community. As an Operating Partner and Chief Administrative Officer at Bozzuto, Smith is responsible for the oversight and strategy of the Marketing, Human Resources, Technology, Brand, Research and Innovation teams. Previously, Julie served as president of Bozzuto Management Company, overseeing a portfolio that now includes more than 75,000 units in more than 250 apartment communities throughout the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Midwest and Southern regions. In 2016, Julie was honored as a Distinguished Leader by the Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) Network. In 2015, Julie was named one of Washington’s Women of Influence by the Washington Business Journal as well as one of The Top Ten Most Influential Women in Multifamily by Multifamily Executive Magazine. She also serves on the board of Victory Housing, ApartmentList and is an Advisory Board Member for the Master in Real Estate Development (MRED) program at The University of Maryland. She chairs the Diversity Committee for the National Multifamily Housing Council and is a past Chair of the Women’s Leadership Initiative for ULI Washington, D.C.
