Overview
Surrounded by over 500 acres of trees cultivated by our wholesale nursery, our LEED-certified campus in Laytonsville, MD is home to our corporate office, Maryland landscape construction branch, and Laytonsville landscape management branch.
Green initiatives on our campus include a 3/4-acre solar farm, which completely offsets our electrical demand; rainwater collection system that’s used for irrigation; a green roof; a shop facility heating system fueled by the waste oil that we generate; low-flow plumbing; and more.
Our corporate campus doubles as a research incubator where we test and analyze new materials, processes, and equipment to see if they are ready for our customers. A few examples of this include testing of autonomous mowers; organic fertilization and lawn care; compost experiments that have included worm castings, lobster compost and/or food waste; and color-enhanced mulch, which has since become the industry standard.
