Greg Franklin

VP of Fleet, Facilities & Safety

Greg oversees the purchase and maintenance of the company’s fleet and equipment, is responsible for the development and maintenance of all Ruppert Landscape facilities, and oversees all safety and risk management operations. He has over 25 years of management experience ranging from operations to logistics, including transportation, warehouse, and distribution management. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from Radford University.

Mike oversees the company’s training, human resources, public relations, and talent acquisition teams. Mike has over 30 years of industry experience, including over two decades with Ruppert, and holds a degree in business administration from Delaware Valley College.

Paul Pestun

VP of Business Development, Installation

Paul Pestun

VP of Business Development, Installation

Paul works with the business development team to help unify landscape installation sales efforts. In addition, he is responsible for strategic planning, financial analysis, market research, and cultivating strategic relationships with key stakeholders such as owners, developers, general contractors, and landscape architects. He has been with Ruppert for over a decade, holds a degree in landscape management from Montgomery College, and is a platinum-level graduate of ABC’s Leadership Development Program.

Jennifer Saah

VP of Accounting & Financial Risk Management

Jennifer Saah

VP of Accounting & Financial Risk Management

Jennifer oversees the accounting, payroll, and benefits teams. These teams perform transactional accounting, financial reporting and analysis, treasury management, payroll processing, benefits administration, and related compliance activities. Jennifer has almost 20 years of experience in general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and corporate accounting management, including almost a decade with Ruppert. She holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and economics from High Point University and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

Amy’s expertise is in public relations, employee relations, media relations, special events, and marketing. She works to expand the company’s visibility, raise brand awareness, and grow employee well-being. Amy has a bachelor’s degree in communications and a master’s degree in professional writing from Towson University. She has 30+ years of marketing/communications experience, including over two decades with Ruppert.

Melanie drives talent acquisition strategy across the company. She holds a degree in landscape horticulture from The Ohio State University and has over 20 years of experience in the landscape industry with a focus on optimizing recruiting and training organizational needs.

Jason focuses on all aspects of business development across our landscape maintenance branches including sales training, estimating, customer relationship management, and more. He has over two decades of experience in sales management and business development and holds a degree from Penn State University.

Jeff manages the sourcing, execution, and integration of acquisitions and supports strategic financial planning. He has 15+ years of investment banking and company operating experience. He holds an MBA from Georgetown University and a bachelor’s degree from James Madison University.

Courtney oversees employee relations and compliance initiatives to support a productive, engaged workforce and ensure alignment with company values and operational goals. She holds a BS in marketing management from Virginia Tech and an MBA in human resources from Towson University. She is a certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and holds a certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP).

Dave’s promotes a safety-first culture that is the foundation of the Ruppert organization. He leads the company’s safety and risk management program, working hand-in-hand with safety committee members in every branch, and ensures a focus on safety in all aspects of the company. He has over 40 years of experience in the green industry in both safety and operations management, including over 15 years with Ruppert.

As the company’s founder, Craig has been instrumental in developing the company’s mission, culture, and values. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board for Ruppert Landscape and also serves on the boards of Sandy Spring Bank and The Wills Group. He is an active leader in numerous trade and charitable organizations including the Montgomery County Farmers Club, 2030 Group, Easter Seals Greater Washington-Baltimore Region, Food for the Poor, and The Community Foundation of Montgomery County. His experience has allowed him to bring innovative ideas and management approaches to Ruppert Landscape. Craig’s current responsibilities include strategic planning, financial management, and personnel development.

As the company’s chief executive, Phil’s primary focus is to make sure that Ruppert’s vision and values are integrated into daily operations. He works closely with the management team on planning, personnel development, and systems control processes. Phil 30 years of industry experience, including almost two decades with Ruppert. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business from Western Maryland (now McDaniel) College and is a graduate of Harvard Business School’s Owner/President Management (OPM) program.

Rich oversees all landscape installation and maintenance operations in our North and South divisions with a focus on enhancing operational excellence, driving growth, and nurturing talent across the organization. He holds a BA in economics from the University of Virginia and received an executive education in leadership and strategic impact from Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business.

Eric is responsible for planning, implementing, managing, and controlling all financial-related activities. As a member of the executive committee, Eric works with the senior leadership team to execute the company’s strategic imperatives, drive continuous improvement, enhance financial and operating performance, and play an important role in all aspects of M&A. He has over 30 years of experience spanning the technology, life sciences, manufacturing, and travel industries with a proven track record of growing complex enterprises of all sizes and developing high-performance teams. He holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Bob oversees business development efforts across the company’s North and South divisions, driving growth in both landscape installation and maintenance operations. As a key member of the executive team, he also influences strategy and financial oversight and supports Ruppert’s strategic acquisition initiatives. He has over 40 years of industry experience, including almost three decades with Ruppert, and is a Certified Professional Horticulturist. He is a graduate of Harvard Business School’s Key Executive Program and served as chairman of Associated Builders and Contractors of Metro Washington.

Matt is responsible for Ruppert’s enterprise technology roadmap in support of business goals and execution against that strategy, including enterprise systems, cloud and on-premises infrastructure, application development, software architecture, business intelligence, and security. With more than a decade of experience as a technology leader and a bachelor’s degree in information system security, Matt has a proven track record of driving technology transformation in complex and fast-growing service organizations.

He holds a bachelor of science degree from SUNY Cobleskill and has 30+ years of industry experience, including two decades with Ruppert.

Kyle oversees landscape maintenance operations in our Bowie (MD), Forestville (MD), and Washington (DC) branches. His responsibilities include planning, budgeting, personnel development, and ensuring customer satisfaction. He has been with Ruppert for over a decade, holds an associate degree in business administration from Carroll Community College, and is a Landscape Industry Certified Technician (CLT).

Dave oversees all landscape maintenance operations in our Richmond North, Richmond East, and Richmond South (VA) branches. His responsibilities include planning, budgeting, personnel development, and ensuring customer satisfaction. He has 30+ years of landscape industry experience, including over a decade with Ruppert, and is a U.S. Marine Corps Reserve veteran.

Jim is responsible for driving landscape installation business development efforts across the Florida region, where he leverages his extensive industry knowledge and strategic insight to identify new market opportunities, foster client relationships, and support the company’s expansion efforts. He has over 35 years of landscape industry experience, including owning and operating a successful landscaping company.
